What a hardened cluster looks like
- Least-privilege RBAC. Scoped roles and audited access, not a cluster of admins.
- Network policies. Default-deny traffic with explicit, reviewable allowances between services.
- Supply-chain checks. Image scanning and signed artifacts wired into the pipeline.
- Progressive delivery. Canary and blue-green rollouts so a bad release is contained, not catastrophic.
- Disaster recovery. Backed-up state and rehearsed restore, because untested recovery is a guess.
- Cost guardrails. Resource requests, limits, and quotas that keep spend predictable.
